Tech Tip - How Can I Change the Units of Measure?

There are several ways you can easily edit the units of measure in your specifications. You can also choose inch-pound units or metric units.

Instructions for PC Users

Using Single-File tools from the MasterWorks tab in Word:
  • Select the Single-File Formatting button, then Units of Measure. 
  • Make selections. Click OK.
Using Multi-File tools from the MasterWorks tab in Word: 
  • Select the Multi-File button, highlight desired section(s). Select Document Format, then Units of Measure. 
  • Make selections. Click OK.
Using the Format Wizard from the MasterWorks tab in Word:
  • Select the Wizards button, then Format Wizard.
  • Select between:
    • Create a New Format Template, assign a file name, or
    • Modify an Existing Format Template
  • Click OK 
  • Answer the series of questions until you get to Units of Measure.
  • Make selections. Continue to answer the questions. Click OK.

Note: You can also set the order of appearance. 

Instructions for MAC Users 

Using the Single-File tools from the MasterWorks tab in Word:
  • Select the Single-File button.
  • Select Format, and then Specifications.
  • Make Units of Measure selections. When finished, click Apply.
Using the Multi-File tools from the MasterWorks tab in Word:
  • Select the Multi-File button.
  • Select the Browsing Folder. Navigate to the section(s) you’re working on and highlight the section(s).
  •  Select Format, and then Specifications.
  •  Make Units of Measure selections. When finished, click Apply:
Using the Format Wizard from the MasterWorks Wizards tab in Word:
  • Select the Wizards button.
  • Select Format Wizard
  • Select between:
    • Create a New Format Template, assign a file name, or
    • Modify an Existing Format Template
  • Click OK
  •  Answer the series of questions until you get to Units of Measure. Make Units of Measure selections. When finished, click Apply.
